1 - Introduce yourself:
My name is Roma, but I would rather be known as “Opia”. I am a 3D motion designer, and I mainly love creating short, satisfying loops.

2 - Which artists inspire you and why?
There are a few of them:
Roger Kilimanjaro: I got into motion design thanks to his work. It is minimalistic but looks incredibly clean and professional.
Zolloc: The topics he chose to represent relate to our everyday life, concerns and hopes. And it is admirable how he manages to show it in his animations.
Beeple: I’ve been following the work of this legend for almost 3 years already. It’s just impressive that he posts a piece every day for more than 10 years without a break. His ideas are just insane and have some cultural impact around 3D enthusiasts.
Ash Thorp: He inspires me to never stop learning and trying new things as well as to pay lots of attention to details. His work ethic is above the roof, and I've learned a lot of useful tips on how to stay productive daily thanks to his talks and podcast.
Brellias: I adore the vibrant colour palette he uses as well as otherworldly themes in his work. And I respect this guy because of his friendly and cheerful personality.
The last one is not an artist, but I can't estimate his influence on me enough. His name is Chris Do, and he taught me about the business side of design which is rarely covered at all.

3 - What’s the most important thing to know about you? (3 most important things, not necessarily related to work)
I love to alter my perception of the world and myself with whatever means available: by doing practices like lucid dreaming, meditation, yoga or qigong. Or by taking psychoactive substances, like mushrooms or LSD (you have to be incredibly responsible when it comes to such things, and I do not encourage anyone to follow this path).

4 - What qualities and skills should a designer have?
Apart from basic and obvious things like design theory, one has to pay attention to communication skills. You have to know how to share your ideas with others in the most effective way, in whatever way you can imagine: verbally, visually, etc.

5 - What are you most proud of?
I’ve managed to discover my passion, and I am courageous enough to pursue it no matter what.

6 - What advice would you give for a young designer?
Try to practice your craft every day at least a little bit, but do not forget living your usual life in the process. You can draw most of your inspiration from daily things. Start with learning basics, such as composition and colour theory. Learn from pros, but try to discover your style. There are enough faceless copycats in the world. Be nice to people, and help everyone you can. It pays off and you feel much better at the same time.
