Instagram finally launched its short-form video-sharing feature, Reels, in the Middle East last month and users can’t be happier.

Today we are going to discuss the new Instagram Reels algorithm which will change how advertisers and creators use it.
This new update will open new doors for brands and creators to reach new audiences, be creative, and distinguish themselves from others.
And now, are you ready to hack the algorithm?
What Is the Instagram Reels Algorithm and How Does It Work?
Instagram’s algorithm has always been a mystery and it continues to be a mystery till today.
None of us have answers to why a video is being suggested to us and other videos are not.
Is there a secret?
On what basis they prioritize Reels and depriotize others?
One thing for sure is that they will reduce the reach of low quality videos and videos from other apps (aka TikTok).
Moreover, Instagram always craved quality and authentic content to keep the users on it’s platform for a longer period of time. So if you're already posting fun and entertaining videos, you are safe.
In the below carousel posts from the Creators, you will get insights about the Dos and Don'ts of Reels.

5 ways to win the algorithm:

Post videos that inspire people or teach them something new.
Use story size video 9:16.
Use Instagram filters, stickers, effects as Instagram wants to show its new features.
Use Instagram music or music you find on Reels.
5 ways to lose the algorithm:
Don’t use low quality videos.
Don’t use videos that have graphic elements and text.
Don’t use your TikToks on Reels.
Don’t violate the Instagram Community Guidelines.
Don’t lack a storyline.
That’s all you need to hack the Reels algorithm and connect to users all over the world.
